Performance Management


At Industrial Alliance Pacific, we believe performance management contributes to a healthy and productive workplace. In order to maintain the High-Performance Environment characteristic of IAP and the Industrial Alliance group, we place a great deal of importance in performance management and its value to our employees.

Although we strongly believe in Teamwork, we want individuals to be fulfilled and challenged by their own work and to be flexible as needed. We use this process to strive towards the development of the individual and the group and Continuous Improvement. We believe in maximising people’s strengths and helping them improve their potential.

At the beginning of each year, employees meet with their managers to set their annual goals and objectives. As the year progresses, they continue to communicate informally. At year end, they meet to formally discuss their progress. During the annual meeting, both the employee and the manager have a chance to put in writing their comments for the performance appraisal. The results of the performance appraisal may directly affect the annual salary increase and/or bonus.
