CONSUMER ALERT - HURRICANE IKE VICTIMSSeptember 24, 2008 Industrial Alliance Pacific Insurance and Financial Services Inc. (Industrial Alliance Pacific) is sensitive to the needs of our clients and would like to assist you if you reside in a county which has been declared a disaster by governmental authorities as a result of Hurricane Ike. Over the course of the next few months, policy premiums and loan repayments will continue to come due. If you find that you are unable to make these payments as a result of the devastation caused by Hurricane Ike, Industrial Alliance Pacific would be pleased to work with you on establishing a temporary, more flexible payment schedule. Industrial Alliance Pacific will waive all penalties for overdue premium payments and loan repayments from September 1st, 2008 through November 30th, 2008. Given this, active policies will remain in-force and loans in good standing until November 30th, 2008 even if payments are overdue and the account is in arrears. We ask that you make a concerted effort to contact our Policy Services Department by November 30th, 2008 to establish a temporary payment schedule to make up any overdue amounts. By doing so, you will be able to keep your policy and/or loan account in good standing even after this date until such time as you are able to re-establish and maintain a regular payment schedule. Failure to contact our office by November 30th, 2008 may result in the lapse and/or termination of your policy, or may result in adverse tax consequences in the case of a policy loan.
